Christmas Interiors

Whenever a dollshouse is set, dressing rooms for Christmas is always fun.

Georgian Christmas Interior

Preparations for a Georgian Christmas, in a kitchen roombox setting, inspired by Fairfax House, York. Peacock Pie might form a centrepiece for the festive dining table or sideboard and a recipe for this can be found in the 1757 Art of Cookery by John Thacker. A kissing bough, a ball of greenery with apples and candles, was a popular decoration of the time & sprigs of holly were often placed against the window panes as can be seen in contemporary Georgian prints. With thanks to Lucy Askew for the holly.

Christmas in Brunswick Mansion

We recently dressed Brunswick Mansion for Christmas as part of a photoshoot for Land love Magazine 2017 Christmas edition. This provided a wonderful opportunity to include some non-Georgian elements like Christmas trees and presents.
